Here’s where Ronaldo took an icy dip and enjoyed a Finnish sauna

Cristiano Ronaldo embraced the Finnish winter in style by visiting Immelkartano Sauna World, located on the shores of Lake Immeljärvi near Kätkätunturi in Kittilä. This stunning location offered the football star and his family an authentic Nordic experience, complete with traditional saunas and an ice-cold plunge into the lake.

Sharing the moment with his 646 million Instagram followers, Ronaldo revealed that the air temperature was a bone-chilling –20°C, while the water was a brisk –2°C. Despite the extreme cold, the seasoned athlete managed to stay in the icy water for an impressive couple of minutes, earning admiration from Esko Takkunen, the owner of Immelkartano:

“It’s surprising how long he stayed. Normally, people just dip and get out right away,” Takkunen noted.

Immelkartano Sauna World offers a range of unique experiences, including a traditional sauna, a smoke sauna, a floating sauna, a jacuzzi, and even a hot tub. Private bookings allow groups of up to 15 people to enjoy the facilities for €390 for two hours.

Ronaldo’s visit to the icy waters and warm saunas showed his remarkable resilience and willingness to dive into Finnish traditions, literally.
