Eevert Design Restaurant is located in a historical building designed by architect Alvar Aalto in the Punavuori district of Helsinki, where Aalto’s own office was once located. Now, in the same place, Eevert offers magnificent flavors and colors of four seasons, and Finnish design eye candy. It means that at Eevert you can experience a true essence of Finland, which is not just taste but extends to the smallest detail in the interior.
– We wanted to create a milieu which is full of Finnish design gems blended together with style. Therefore, when entering into Eevert, it is advisable to let the eye stroll in peace in all the details from furniture to lighting, wallpaper and dishes. Then the experience is perfect, says Founder Tarja Martiskainen.
Eevert food philosophy draws from Finnish nature.
– We offer high-quality Scandinavian food with a modern Finnish twist. Typically our customers want to enjoy a 3 to 8 course menu with recommended wines, but of course you can also enjoy your favourite picks from our á la carte menu, where reindeer is the absolute star. We have it available all year round.
In the summer, there is also a summer menu that, according to Eevert food philosophy, draws from the gems of Finnish cuisine.
– You might experience surprises, for example, with the tastes of Finnish wild herbs.
Martiskainen recommends to choose a wine package on the side of the menu.
– We work hard finding the perfect food and wine combinations. Our wine menu lives by the season aswell. It means that the wines change just as our seasonal menus.
