This enchanting market takes place in Senate Square, the most beautiful square in Helsinki, designed in the grand neoclassical Empire style. Overlooking the square is the majestic white Helsinki Cathedral, creating a picture-perfect backdrop for the festivities. Close your eyes, and you can imagine being transported back to the mid-19th century, surrounded by the timeless charm of this historic setting.

This year, the market features around 100 artisans and small producers from across Finland, as well as over 20 food vendors and restaurants. Among the offerings, you’ll find Finnish fish and meat delicacies, baked goods, mushroom salads, jams, mustards, handmade sweets, jewelry, natural cosmetics, warm wool socks, and unique design and decor items inspired by vintage Finnish travel posters.
Tuomaan Markkinat is committed to sustainability and responsible Christmas shopping. The market emphasizes recycling, eco-friendliness, reducing food waste, supporting local producers, and offering responsible Christmas gifts. The food available highlights vegetarian dishes and locally sourced ingredients, served with biodegradable tableware.
