Hotel Sveitsi has 182 renovated, modern, and cozy rooms. The rooms are peaceful, efficiently designed, and well-equipped. The interior design reflects a Nordic style – simple yet high-quality design, with soothing colors and earthy materials. A generous buffet breakfast, access to the Fit Park Sveitsi gym, and entrance to the Sveitsi Swimming Hall during its opening hours are all included in the room rate.

Distance from the center and significant landmarks

Hotel Sveitsi is located in the heart of Southern Finland, near Highway E12, close to the center of Hyvinkää. It takes about 45 minutes to drive from Helsinki, 1 hour from Lahti, 1.5 hours from Tampere, and 2 hours from Turku. Public transportation connects Hyvinkää with various parts of Finland. From Helsinki Airport, the journey takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour by taxi or train. From Hyvinkää’s train and bus stations, it is less than 1.5 km to Hotel Sveitsi. There is a bus connection between the city center and the hotel that runs from morning to evening. The Finnish Railway Museum and Willa Shopping Center are less than 2 km from the hotel.

A generous buffet breakfast is served daily in our breakfast restaurant located in the main lobby. The buffet offers a wide selection of bread, cold cuts, muesli, yogurt, vegetables, fruit, and hot options like porridge, eggs, sausages, and bacon. Breakfast is served from early morning and is included in the room rate.

Signature drink or dish and its story

Restaurant Karhunpesä’s Pätkis Cake is our most popular dish, consistently staying on the menu with small updates. The story began when HR Manager Kaisu wanted to support her niece Saana’s bid to attend the Biddy Basket basketball camp in Florida in March 2016. Kaisu posted on Facebook about her plans and promised to bake Pätkis Cakes for €10 each. The response was overwhelming, and Kaisu received over 130 cake orders. The peak came on Father’s Day when 13 cakes were delivered in a single day. Saana did make it to the camp, and a respectable €1300 was raised for the trip. So how did the cake end up on Sveitsi’s dessert menu? Then Chef Mikko loved the story and wanted the cake on the restaurant’s menu. Initially called Aunt Kaisu’s Pätkis Cake, it has since been Sveitsi’s best-selling dessert. Welcome to taste Pätkis!
