Finnjävel Sali presents the essence of the Finnish soul, drawing flavors and experiences from forests, lakes, mountains, and fields. We offer a modern, refined interpretation of unique Finnish culinary heritage, bringing familiar tastes and traditional dishes to life in new, surprising ways. Food memories are among the most cherished, and Finnjävel seeks to create unforgettable ones.
True to our “Finnjävel” spirit, we also revive forgotten Finnish delicacies and elevate classic dishes to new heights—even the familiar Karelian pasty is transformed in our kitchen. Finnish hospitality and expertise are at the core of our service.
Finnjävel pays homage to the true masters of Finnish cuisine, those across Finland—whether in Ostrobothnia, Lapland, or beyond—who preserve and evolve our proud culinary heritage. We strive to continue their work with dedication and pride.
The name “Finnjävel” is derived from Swedish, meaning “Finnish devil,” a term originating during wartime and used by Swedes referring to Finnish immigrants.

Our reimagined “Finnjävled” versions of dishes, including nostalgic school lunch “favorites,” are popular for both lunch and dinner. Our seasonal, rotating menu includes a 4-course selection that brings the essence of Finnish summer cottage vibes to the heart of Helsinki.
